"Don’t perceive the crisis as something hostile. Accept and try to like it".
How Igor Lisinenko, the head of "MAY" Group, which is famous by tea production, is preparing for the crisis in 2021.
The business activity of Igor Lisinenko, the owner and the head of "MAY" Group, is planned for the years ahead. He is reasoning on the economic deterioration like a confident clairvoyant. The crisis provides him with at least a satisfaction, if not particularly a joy, because he foresaw it and had time to prepare.
“Maisky tea” is the most famous brand of the group. Business of Lisinenko goes beyond the production of beverages and comprises e-commerce, real estate development, IT and even distribution of petroleum products. Such a pull of business-units isn’t weird for the company, which sales volumes last year totaled more than $300 million. On the contrary, the head of the group is confident that the penetration on several markets makes business strategically invulnerable, and its owner - smarter in planning.
"Do you know what I did this morning? – Lisinenko addresses me, pointing to the screen. – I viewed commercials we have prepared for the moment when the crisis will be over and the market will grow.
What will happen shortly after the economic boom is as clear as a day: another recession. By Lisinenko estimations, new crisis emerges in 2021. His confidence in such a scenario seems to be unshakable. It brings a little mess to our conversation. "What kind of crisis are you talking about - my interlocutor asks me - the current or the future?"
